Atlantis II - 115 meters - 379 ft
Year - 1981
Builder - Hellenic Shipyards
Architect - Maierform
Owner - Niarchos family
Issham Al Baher's twin sister
Photo
Atlantis II has a bit of a reputation in the industry for never moving very far from her favourite berth in Monaco where she is usually the biggest yacht. In fact it's a real case of dusting the cobwebs off when she does move and she has to back out as she is too big to turn round inside. (No wonder they don't move her a lot). Currently she is the 7th largest privately owned yacht in the world. Atlantis II is the second of two identical sister ships, Atlantis II is stronger than her sister and she has a helipad.

Le Grand Bleu - 113 meters - 370 ft
Year - 2000
Builder - Vulkan
Owner - Eugene Shvidler | Photo | Photo | Photo
Now this is a boat after my own heart! Normally the first thing a boat does when she ties up is get water, electricity, sewage dump pipes etc etc. Not this one. Le Grand Bleu is one of the first private yachts to ever earn an Environmental Protection Notation from insurer Lloyd's of London. Among other things, the boat has her own sewage and wastewater treatment plants, complies to strict nitrogen and sulfur exhaust emissions limits, and makes her own water. She was built at the Vulkan yard in Germany and was launched in 2000. Security features like on Ecstasea and Pelorus include a submarine for detecting limpet mines and a missile-detection system. In June 2006 it's rumoured that Mr Abramovich gave this boat away, as a gift, (like you do) to Eugene Shvidler. Evgeny 'Eugene' Markovich Shvidler (born 1964 in Moscow, Russia) is an Russian oil billionaire. He made his fortune in Russia during the privatization of Russian industry. At least he can afford to run her as she costs around $12 million a year to operate.

Dilbar - 110 meters - 361 ft

Dilbar is a motor yacht built in 2008 by Lurssen Yachts. She is owned by Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov and is named after his mother. With a length overall of 110.00 m (360.9 ft) and a beam of 16.00 m (52.5 ft)[1] she is one of the largest yachts in the world. Dilbar was designed by Tim Heywood to a specification that includes two helipads and the interiors are by Alberto Pinto.

Owner - Sultan of Oman

- Crew of 156

Lady Moura - 105meters - 344 ft
Year - 1990
Shipyard/ Builder - Blohm & Voss
Photo | Photo
I first met Lady Moura in 1991 and to be honest I was pretty gob smacked. Everyting was hidden away behind hydraulic covers. This massive yacht, several storeys high had this nifty little sand covered platform that slid noiselessly out of her side just above the waterline. Sporting deckchairs and palm trees this yacht had it's own, with a difference, private sandy beach! She also has a large pool with a retractable roof and a 23 metre custom-made (by Viscount Linley) dining table. Beside the tenders etc she carries a Sikorsky S76B helicopter. Lady moura is owned by Mohammed al-Rashid of Saudi Arabia and launched in 1990. Many yachts designed for Arabs have an interesting feature in that they tend to lack a lot of open deck space as sunbathing is not high on their owners agendas. Instead much of their time is spent indoors, enjoying the immaculate and cool interiors. Arabs also value their privacy hugely and it is relatively rare for their yachts to be found on the charter market. Their favoured cruising grounds are the French Riviera and Balearics in the Spanish region where they tend to have holiday homes too. When the owner of lady Moura divorced from his wife she got the phenomenal S/Y Phocea. 74m of stunning luxury under sail.

Loaloat Al Behar - 104meters - 340 ft
